Welcome to the Wake Up Artist community!
This application will allow you to record, send, and receive wake-up (Wakes) and goodnight (Sleeps) messages to other people who have this application installed on their mobile device. Your message plays in place of traditional alarm clock sounds – which is so much more fun! Start sending Wakes and Sleeps and become a Wake Up Artist!

How It Works:
When you install this application, your phone is registered on the Wake Up Artist network. The application will automatically search the network for the phone numbers of users who are in your personal contact book. Only users that are in your contact book will appear in your contact list.

The default setting automatically allows all contacts in your list to send and receive messages. You also have the option to block messages from any users (just in case your nemesis has this app too!)Sending Messages:
You can either record your own message or send a pre-recorded message from the Audio Library. Check the library often as it will automatically update with new Wakes and Sleeps.

Receiving Messages:
To receive a message, simply set your alarm! The application will check for Wakes while you sleep and play them at the time your alarm sounds. If someone sends you a Sleep, the message will play when you engage your alarm.

Remember, this application is not just for sweethearts and loved ones - feel free to send your buddy or best friend an obnoxious wake-up call. It’s really fun!Technical Information
REMEMBER: Due to the restrictions of the iPhone software, you must keep this program running once the alarm is set in order for the alarm to sound. Simply set the alarm. If the blue clock is displayed, your alarm is engaged.

Because this program utilizes Internet connectivity to send and receive media files, application performance is directly related to your network connection. Wifi & 3G connections will offer the best speed, while the Edge network may add significant load time.
IPOD TOUCH:
This program will work with the iPod touch. To record audio messages, you will need a headset with a microphone because the iPod Touch does not have a built-in microphone.
REGISTRATION PROCESS - WHY THE TEXT MESSAGE WITH PIN?
When you install Wakes for the first time, our server will send you a 4-digit PIN number that is unique to your registration. This is to ensure that the phone number registered in the Wake Me system is verified to an actual device. So, the registrant must physically be in control of the device they are registering.
PRIVACY POLICY:
We do not sell or share your information. This is a closed network. Your name only appears in another user’s network if that user has your name and number in their phone’s contact list.
